Ephrata Area School District Director of Athletics and Student Activities, Mr. Marvin Sanders recently earned accreditation as a Certified Master Athletic Administrator (CMAA). This certification, obtained through the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA), highlights Sanders’ dedication to professional development and the District’s commitment to fostering continuous growth and learning among both students and staff.
Achieving CMAA status supports Sanders to serve the Ephrata Area School District by creating a positive impact on student-athletes, coaches, the athletic department, and the broader school community. “This certification not only marks a personal milestone, but also enhances my ability to contribute effectively to our district's commitment to growth and excellence,” Mr. Sanders shared.
The CMAA certification is part of the NIAAA nationally accredited program, which aims to ensure that athletic administrators are well-equipped to handle the complexities of their roles, from hiring coaches and scheduling officials to managing budgets and addressing risk management issues. Additionally, the program provides professional development opportunities for interscholastic athletic administrators.
“We are constantly impressed with the high level of professionalism and work effort Mr. Sanders brings to his position. While he has only been part of the Ephrata team for a few months, he has already had an impact,” commented Superintendent Dr. Brian Troop.
