Students in sixth-grade focused on their community when working on their Cornerstone projects this school year. Many educational experiences and projects were based around the question: "How do the habits, values and behaviors of a culture impact belonging within a community?"
Student determined 12 area non-profit organizations and created videos to invite them to do school presentations to become educated about the organizations and how they benefit the community. After the presentations, students personally selected an organization that most connected to their core values and took additional steps to get involved. Many student groups organized donation drives to collect items requested by the organizations.
