The Ephrata Middle School Band recently received the Esprit de Corps award at the Music in the Parks festival. The student musicians in grades 7-8 earned this award after delivering an exceptional performance at Lower Dauphin High School.
Music in the Parks is a renowned, educationally-focused music festival that provides school performing ensembles with the opportunity to learn from conductors in the field of music education. The festival mission is to bring together student musicians and adjudicator-clinicians, fostering musical growth, achievement, and recognition for both individuals and participating music programs.
Students learned they earned the Esprit de Corps recognition at the awards ceremony held at Hersheypark. This award not only recognizes the band's musical abilities but also acknowledges their outstanding social behavior and encouragement towards fellow participants. Additionally, the band was recognized for their commitment to creating a positive and supportive environment, a testament to their dedication to excellence in music education.
