The Ephrata Area School Board approved the hiring of Mr. Benjamin Baird as the new Assistant Principal at Ephrata High School on October 28, 2024.
“I am humbled and excited to begin my new journey as an Assistant Principal at Ephrata High School. I look forward to supporting students and teachers and will be committed to fostering an inclusive, engaging, and safe environment where every student can thrive,” shared Mr. Baird.
“We were fortunate to have had very qualified candidates apply for this position and are excited to add Mr. Baird’s expertise, energy, and enthusiasm to the team,” Superintendent Dr. Brian Troop commented.
Mr. Baird obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College and his Master of Science Degree from California University of Pennsylvania. He has served as a Health and Physical Education Teacher in the Northern Lebanon School District since 2017, as well as their Assistant Athletic Director and Varsity Boys Volleyball Head Coach since 2022. Mr. Baird previously held teaching positions with the Allegheny Intermediate Unit and Mount Pleasant Area School District.
“I look forward to collaborating with staff, working closely with families, and building meaningful connections within the Ephrata Area School District community. Together, we will continue to build on Ephrata's strengths, promote student success, and create a positive and inspiring place for all,” concluded Mr. Baird.
